Terms of use

MyOasis is the online home of Oasis Family Church. Using it means agreeing to what follows. It is written plainly on purpose.

Who can use it

You need to be 13 or older to have your own account. If you are younger than that, a parent or guardian can use theirs with you.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself, and use your real name so the church family knows who they are talking to. Tell the office if you think someone else has got into your account.

How we treat each other here

This is a church, and the same things are true here as in the building.

• Speak to people the way you would want to be spoken to.
• No harassment, no abuse, and nothing sexually explicit. Reporting someone is not telling tales - it is how we keep this a safe place.
• Do not share what was said in confidence. A prayer request or a message is not yours to pass on.
• Do not use the app to sell things or to campaign.

Every post has a Report option, and you can block or mute anyone. Reports go to the church’s moderators.

What you write

What you write stays yours. By posting it here you let the church show it to the people you posted it to. Moderators can remove anything that breaks these terms, and will tell you when they do.

Giving

Giving records in the app are a record of gifts the church has received or that you have pledged. The app does not take payments. If a record looks wrong, tell the church office - they can correct it.

If something goes wrong

We will do our best to keep MyOasis running and your information safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. If a member of staff needs to suspend an account to keep someone safe, they can.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. See the privacy page for exactly what happens to what you wrote.
